Mars stares from eerie eyeball-like crater in new image

It’s almost like a Mars impact crater is staring back up at the European Mars Express orbiter in this recently released image.

The European Space Agency (ESA) spacecraft imaged the 18.6-mile-wide (30 kilometers) unnamed crater on Mars on April 25. ESA released the image in a blog post (opens in new tab) on June 8.
